Where to Relax and Stay in Davao

Recently, I got an opportunity to travel again and this time in my beloved country – the Philippines and one of my favorite city – Davao. The place where the Philippine President Mr. Rodrigo Duterte lives and became a mayor for more than a decade.  For me, it is still one of the safest city in the Philippines though it experienced recent bombing at Roxas Blvd in front of Ateneo Davao and when I visited Davao and stayed there for 4 days I have seen the Davaoeneos being resilient and positive inspite of what happened a few weeks ago.

Davao offers affordable and great choices of hotels, hostels, and transient house. Another 2 hotel added to my favorite accommodation in Davao.

Staying in the city? I suggest trying SEDA HOTEL beside the ABREEZA MALL.

My Deluxe Room in Seda cost around 4,000 PHP++ / 87.00 USD++. With King size bed, ensuite bathroom complete with toiletries and hair dryer, my room has a nice view of Abreeza Ayala Mall, with LED tv (cable), cold AC, personal fridge and counter top. I love staying in a hotel with duvet, a hugging soft bed that wanting me not to get off to bed and Seda Hotel gives me that relaxing night I needed for a whole day of exploring the City of Davao.

I believe that Davao is one of the livable city in the Philippines. If you wanna go hiking and exploring Mt. Apo and other mountains, it is just a few hours drive from the city. You wanna go swimming at the beach or perhaps explore the beautiful island of Samal you may also go there for just less than an hour boat ride from the port. And one of the 5-star beach resort in Davao is Pearl Farm Beach Resort. Located in Samal Island, Davao Del Norte.

My Papa has been telling me that I should go and visit this luxury beach resort because of its majestic clear water and you will swim with the fish while enjoying the mountain view – Mt. Apo. Luckily, I stayed here for 3 days to explore what Samal can offer to locals and foreign travelers.

Pearl Farm is not just for honeymooners and couples who wants to relax but the resort is also best for a group of friends, family and even for solo traveler who just want to get out of the city and have the time of his life and enjoy the beach and the scenic Mt. Apo view.

Davao, you never fail to amaze me and I can’t wait to be back again here.
