Provinces to Visit for Under 2,000 Pesos

If there’s one of the many things that makes me happy is traveling. I always take time to unwind and travel around the Philippines to appreciate more of my home country and to see its 7,000++ beautiful places here. The Philippines is made up of 3 major islands – Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with over 7,000 islands to visit and reason to love my country. I am born in Mindanao and now living here in Manila and still, I haven’t explored much of the island Luzon which I am working on it and once I am free from the day job I find time to travel on a budget.

Traveling on a budget? I mean in a really tight budget and still want to experience a happy life, good adventure without breaking the bank.

Here are my Top 10 Provinces to visit for under 2,000 Pesos budget

1. Pampanga

Balloon Festival is annually held in Clark Pampanga every February. A ticket is being sold for 350 Pesos / 7 USD – General Admission. During this festival, a lot of travel agencies and organizers are having group tours so if you want to meet new friends along the way, then booking a group tour is best for you. It also includes other trips within Pampanga like SandBox, and city tour (depending on the tour organizer itinerary) also van transportation, driver fee, and toll fees. Tour packages costs around 1,100 to 1,300 pesos / 22 USD to 26 USD.

2. Tanay Rizal

Tanay Rizal is about 2 hours away from Manila (no traffic). It’s one of the provinces of Rizal and has popular falls where locals often go to. The budget is only 690 Pesos / 13 USD (group tour).

  1. What a fantastic list! You’ve added several places to my “must visit” list now. I absolutely love bargain shopping for my next vacation

  2. Philippines always fascinates me! The oh so many islands in it and the fabulous beaches and forests are so paradise-like! I could spend months together exploring Philippines! So thanks for this list! 🙂

  3. These look like such great places to visit, it’s amazing they cal all be done even on a budget! I’ll be making sure that Corregidor is added to my itinerary the next time i’m in the area

  4. The Philippines is so high on my bucket list and I really hope I can visit next year. I think there are some really beautiful places in this list I can definitely put on my ‘what to do when visit’ list. Thanks for that!

  5. I think the 2000 budget is only applicable when you’re in Luzon. If you’re like me, all the way from Mindanao, it would take more than 2000 pesos. From your list, I’ve only been to Tagaytay, and I am planning to visit most of the places you mentioned.

  6. Of all the places you have mentioned, the Balloon Festival really caught my eye. I would love to read a more detailed post on it 🙂

  7. This is a good list. I’m also into traveling as this has long been my passion, but I mostly travel in the Visayas and Mindanao. and for this list, I only have been to Baguio and I want to go back. I’ll surely visit some on the list if I get the chance. Thank you for sharing about this one. Keep traveling!

  8. I frequent most of these places. Baguio is my hometown. I love the trails and the mountains in Tanay and in Rizal area. I enjoy the view of Taal in Tagaytay and I enjoy the beach in La Union.
